The Old man’s Stories

An old man told his grandchildren religious stories in his own way and made most of them up. One day his son hears these stories and was shocked how his father was misleading the children from the faith. Without questioning his father he took away all of the children and informed his brothers and sisters about how the old man was acting. Some of them said he had gone old and had forgotten the faith other said he was that it was the old man’s nature to spoil their children.

Afterwards they all confronted their father and the eldest son asked:
“Oh Father have you gone so old that you have forgotten your own faith. The prayers, the fasting and the remembering of the Lord All Mighty. We have taken away your grandchildren because you are misguiding them with your stories which other would call blasphemy. Please stop hurting us like this”.

Their father looked into their eyes as said: “Oh my sons and daughters, there are no gods but there is One God but as you say it daily ‘There is no god but God’. Are your words and mine not true? For it is not stories I teach these children but morality”.

Yet the old man’s sons and daughter didn’t understand him and simply said there was no point in arguing with an old man.

Judgment

When the souls of a few men who had died reached the heavens for judgment, Angels stood beside each one before God pass judgment. Each soul was asked what they had done in their lives.

The first soul claimed: “My Lord I have fought in your name and died as a martyr, grant me the rewards of Paradise that you bestow upon martyrs”. God spoke through his Angel and said: “I require no sacrifice. You have died only for your own selfish desires and you have killed many innocent people. Off to Hell with you”.

The second soul spoke: “My Lord I have worshiped you day and night. I have preached in your name to the world and have converted many to follow only you. Grant me the rewards of the heavens”. God once again spoke through his Angel and said: “I require no worship. You mislead many and only converted for your fame. Be gone to Hell”.

The third soul spoke: “My Lord I have given generously to the poor and charities. I am a healer of the sick and I have done it all in your name. Grant me your charity of the heavens”. The Angel spoke God’s words: “I require no charity. You did not help the poor but kept people as poor. You healed for your greed and turned away the poor, you gave charity to corrupted men. Your reward is hell”.

The final soul spoke: “My Lord I have done nothing that you may be pleased with. I lived the life to its fullest. In my heart I am grateful to you and I ask for no Paradise to which you haven’t already granted me”. The Lord spoke: “I am pleased with you” and the Lord commanded his Angels to open the doors of heaven for him.

The Angels stood in amazement of God’s decision. So the Lord let them all know: “The one who speaks the truth from his heart no soul can deny it”.

Hence when The Prophet spoke the truth about the Lord and the people knew him for truthfulness, they did not call him a liar but said that he had gone mad.

The washing of the feet

A leader of a tribe before his dying days called upon his sons and other tribesmen and front of the whole tribe performed the ancient ritual of washing of the feet. The youngsters in the tribe seeing it for the first time were shocked to see such a powerful man on his knees washing feet like slave.

After the ritual was performed the leader stood up and started his speech: “I have performed the ancient ritual of washing of the feet, which has been passed onto us from our forefathers. It is also my final ritual to our great tribe. To those who have never seen this ritual and to those who doubt our ancient ways, I have these words for you. I have not washed the feet nor have I cleaned any man’s soul. I have not shown weakens to any man or to any other tribe. By washing the feet of my son’s and other tribesmen I have shown them humbleness and kindness. That one day they will show their humbleness and kindness to you all and continue to pass our knowledge and words of wisdom for generations to come”. Hence Jesus washed the feet of his disciples.

The perfect preacher

When a man preaching the words of his Lord and called upon the people to be “Perfect as the Father in the Heavens”. The people on the street mocked him and the priests called his words as Blasphemy.

After a while the preacher got many followers and some of them questioned his words and asked if they became perfect as the Lord would they then become Gods themselves? He answered: “But you are Gods”. Some of them didn’t like the reply and once again called his words as Blasphemy.

Afterwards many people left the preacher until a dozen or so remained. The preacher than explained to his followers: “Now that we have removed the ignorance from our soul we may begin the perfection. When the Lord said to these people that the ‘Lord made Man out of his image’ they believed him and when I claimed them to be ‘Perfect as the Father in Heaven’ they call it Blasphemy. When I called them ‘Gods’ they once again called it Blasphemy. For has the Lord not given us Intelligence as he is an Intelligent being himself. For we reason, share knowledge, create things and destroy them too. We have the greatest intelligence among all of God’s creatures. Hence we are made in God’s image.

Appointed of Man

When a marriage between a higher caste girl and a lower caste boy was agreed upon, the families of the higher caste were in an uproar and questioned the father of the girl to “how he could agree to this marriage”. The girl’s father replied: “I love my daughter very much and her happiness is my happiness”. The families called it madness and said they would never agree to such a marriage.

“When God created Man out of clay and out of his love appointed man Kingship of Earth and favored him above all creatures. When Angels worshiped him, only Iblis did not and said how he could worship a lower caste creature. God banished him from the heavens”. Hence the girl’s father banned the families from the wedding.

The Anniversary

A man loved his wife so much that on their Anniversary he would bring expensive gifts for her.  One year the man accidentally forgets their Anniversary, this of course didn’t go down with his wife who became very upset and for the next few years she would always remind the man of the anniversary he forgot.

Each year the man felt hurt and one year he decided to completely forgot about the whole  anniversary thing and listen to his wife nagging him about how each year he forgot their anniversary.

Until one day, while cleaning the house his wife found a box full of gifts that the man use to bring for her for their anniversary each year. That changed her forever and she stopped her complaining and asked the man for forgiveness.

Without thinking too much that man forgave his wife and Hence forgiveness the highest attribute of God was bestowed upon every soul.

The Blind Man

A noble man raised four sons but in his old age he went blind. Everyday since than his four sons argued among themselves that who would take care of their father that day. One day they decide to abandon their father in another village and left it to God to take care of him.

The blind man wandered aimlessly for the entire day until he fell into well outside of the village but God saved him. Seeing this miracle the villagers praised God and the village Chief summoned the blind man’s four sons.

Once they heard the news, their heads fell in shame and an Angel revealed to them: “Be Kind to your parents and take care of them in their old age as they took care of you when you were little”.

Hence the blind man’s sons became noble men.

The Happiness

When the princess and the prince of two rival kingdoms fell in love it became very dangerous for them to meet, send letters and even pass messages to each other while facing the threat of death. The princess couldn’t live a moment without knowing about her beloved one.

Seeing her sister is such distress the princess younger sister decided to take the risk by becoming the mediator between the two lovers, as she was the most trusted and loyal person in all of the kingdom. She did not like the task at hand because she was noble and righteous person, pure of heart and never forgot her prayers but out of her sisters love she would do anything and took the dangerous task.

One night as she brought a message from the prince to her sister, she went to sleep doubting whether the love for her sister had blinded her from the righteous path and whether this foolish would ever end. Just as she feel into a deep sleep. An Angel appeared in her Dream and a voice from heaven whispered softly into her ear.

O Blessed One,

The protector of God’s Love.

The heavens worships at your feet.

Your prayers purify the heavens

Your righteougness sets the world straight.

Your heart brightens every soul.

Do not call love a foolish thing

For only selfish fools sell their love for the greed and pleasure of this world.

Ask the broken hearts who line at the heaven’s gate for glimpse of love.

Do not call love a curse

For when it appears it bring happiness and joy fills the heart.

For when it disappears it bring pain and hurt fills the heart.

For God is like that.

O Blessed one,

The scent of your love breaths life into every Lover.

Your words becomes every poets poetry.

Your Kindness becomes hope for the distressed lovers.

You are the light for the blind in darkness.

O Blessed one,

May God’s love always protect you.

May no grief ever touch your soul.

May you find true and pure love.

Have no doubt in yourself.

For only your love shall inherit the heavens and earth.

With saying that the voice went silent and the young princess woke up. At first she doubted if what she heard was real or just a dream but later she accepted it has the truth because it gave warmth to her heart. Hence God named her the “one who spreads happiness”.

Adulteress

When a married woman was found in bed with her love. The villagers planned to stone both of them to death for their crime of adultery.

In her defense the woman proclaimed that her husband never satisfied her so she had to seek pleasure elsewhere.

Her husband proclaimed that she was an ungraceful wife so he could never to bed her.

Right than an Angel revealed: “Those who hold grief against others and those who are ungraceful to each others are like those who abandon faith for the pleasures of this life”. Hence the three of them were banished from the village*.

*Note: This is similar to banishment of Adam, Eve and Iblis from the Garden of Eden.

The Love

When God created Love, he sent it down to earth to bring happiness to the people. However after a while the people became unhappy and complained about Love hurting them.

When God heard this he immediately summoned Love to explain his behaviour. Love was quite shocked at the complains and he innocently replied to God that he did nothing wrong and was spreading his love as ordered by God. However where he had spread his love to the people, they became unhappy because he did not stay with them and went on spreading his love to other people, while leaving them in hurt.

Hence God decided to put Love in every Soul so it not feel hurt, Yet still some soul spread there love to many hence leaving some in love and others in hurt.
